Buleleng - In order to welcome Piodalan Ageng Pura Padma Bhuana which is held every 10 years, all temple pengempon will perform a melasti ceremony at Padma Bhuana Temple, Buleleng Regency, Bali Province on Tuesday (14/1/2025).
The Head of the Welfare Section of the Buleleng Regional Secretariat, Nyoman Sukadani, explained that this melasti ceremony is a form of purification of Ida Bhatara.
“Melasti activities to Segara Buleleng are carried out as a form of purification and sacred respect,” Nyoman said on Saturday (11/1/2025).
According to Sukadani, the series began with Mendak Ida Bhatara, led by Jro Mangku Ketut Sumadiasa. This procession was held in front of the main gate of the Buleleng Regent's Office, precisely south of the Lion Ambara Raja monument. After praying together, the group continued their journey to Segara Buleleng through Ngurah Rai Street, Pramuka Street, and Erlangga Street, until they arrived at Segara Temple or Buleleng Old Harbor.
Piodalan Ageng Pura Padma Bhuana is a form of devotion to God Almighty, Ida Hyang Widhi Wasa.
Sukadani hopes that the whole series will run smoothly. The ceremony is also expected to strengthen the spiritual relationship of the Buleleng people, provide inner peace, and preserve the noble traditions of Bali.
“May Ida Hyang Widhi Wasa bestow niskala protection to all of us in carrying out government duties and maintaining harmony in Buleleng,” he said.
It is known, there are a series of stages in welcoming the Padma Bhuana Temple Periodalan Ageng including:
