Denpasar, Indonesia Herald - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno has encouraged creative economy players in Denpasar City to continue to innovate, adapt, and collaborate in order to create opportunities to upgrade and compete in the global market.
Sandiaga, when attending the Indonesian Creation Appreciation (AKI) 2024 exhibition in Denpasar City, Friday (14/6/2024) night, said the AKI program was again presented by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy this year to be able to continue to encourage creative economy players to do this.
"I want to ensure that in 2024 we will continue to produce MSMEs that are ready to go global," said Menparekraf Sandiaga at Level 21 Mall, Denpasar, Bali.
Apresiasi Kreasi Indonesia (AKI) is a creative economy development program through capacity building and exhibitions for creative economy players in the culinary, craft, fashion, application/games, film and music subsectors.
The capacity building includes incubation, mentoring, bootcamp, and others.
"If we look at AKI, it raises local products to the global level and the main target is to upgrade them," Sandiaga said.
The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy also assessed that the creative economy products presented by the Denpasar City ecraf actors already have good quality.
AKI 2024 is ready to become a forum for creative economy players to enter the ecosystem, build networks and databases. The presence of AKI is also a place for publication and promotion as well as expanding the market for local brands.
"In total for 4 years, there are 1,600 ecraf actors who have been curated and included in the AKI ecosystem. And we will continue to move to continue to encourage improvements in product quality and also an increase in the sales turnover of ecraf actors," said Menparekraf Sandiaga.
Also attending the event were the Indonesian Ambassador to Panama and Honduras-Costa Rica-Nicaragua, Sukmo Harsono; and the Indonesian Ambassador to Bulgaria, Albania and North Macedonia, Iwan Bogananta.
Also accompanying the Minister were Director of Regional I Tourism Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Raden Wisnu Sindhitrisno; and Director of Nusantara Tourism Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Dwi Marhen Yono.
